Custom Motorcycle Rake and Trail Calculator
|
If you are looking to build that custom bike, then one of the first things you want to do is
determine the correct trail for your motorcycle.
With the help of this simple program, you can determine the correct combination of frame neck rake and
tripple tree offset.
The program will prompt you to enter certain variables such as:
- Front tire diameter
- Neck rake angle
- Tripple tree offset - this is the centerline distance from the center of the fork tubes to the center
of the stem bolt.
- Tripple tree rake angle
- Tripple tree width - this is the actual width of the tripple trees - usually 1 or 1.5 inches
- Neck height - With the frame sitting on the floor, measure the distance from the ground to the center of the frame neck - if the ride height is 3.5", then add
this to the frame neck height.
Simply click the link below and the program will launch in an MS-DOS window.
