| Company Profile |
H&H Speed and Machine, LLC began back in the early 80's when the father and
son team of Steve and Rich Hedge, started building hot rods together in a garage in central Illinois.
As they continued to build cars, they found that many of the components that they were purchasing were overpriced and the craftsmanship left
a little to be desired.
With these aggravations in mind, they set out to produce many of their own components.
They continued building cars in their Illinois shop until moving to southern Florida in the late 80's. Once they settled into there new environment, they saw a need
for a performance automotive influence in the area. Together they started Hedge's Performance Engines. The speed shop concentrated on building performance automotive
engines and the construction of custom street rods.
This shop continued until Rich's decision to return to college.
Rich went through college, graduated and worked in his degree field for several years, however he never got over the desire to own and operate his speed shop. So after a few more years, Rich once again went to Steve and discussed his thoughts on starting another hot rod shop.
With the team together once again, they returned to building custom hot rods and chassis components in a shop near Peoria, Illinois.
Rich moved to Daytona Beach, Florida in July of 2004 and opened up H&H Speed and Machine, LLC. This shop is fully equipped to build custom chassis and suspension components with the goal being that
anyone who wishes to get involved with hot rodding should be able to. Both shops continue to make quality and affordability the number one priority.
Shortly after H&H began producing high quality chassis components and custom hot rod frames, one local builder started Rich on an expansion of H&H. After viewing the quality of fabrication and dedication to perfection, a local custom motorcycle builder asked to have a custom frame manufactured.
So in true H&H form, Rich set about to create a custom frame jig to serve as the foundation for the build.
The frame turned out incredibly well and the stage was set. Now H&H is dedicated to providing quality components to the custom motorcycle industry as well.
Steve continues to run the shop in Illinois and together they attend many shows and once again enjoy working together to build some of the
finest street rods and custom motorcycles around all the while maintaining quality and an affordable price.
If you see them at one of the shows, stop by and visit.
They both love to talk.
